Huguely, and was married to Squire T. Leavell. Eight children blessed the union,
of whom two survive her., Mrs. Jessie Walden and S. T. Leavell, both of this
city. In early life she united with the church and her life was spent in
practicing the teachings of the Bible. Her kind words of advice, cheer and
comfort will always be remembered by those seeking her counsel. As a neighbor
she was always ready to share with those about her and to strive to make their
lives happy and cheerful. She always had a kind word for everyone and ever ready
to assist anyone in need. In her death the church loses a zealous member and the
community a noble Christian woman. A large congregation assembled in the
Christian church to pay the last tribute of respect. Appropriate services were
conducted by Elds Jesse and W. P. Walden and R. M. Campbell, after which the
remains were interred in the Lancaster Cemetery.
