Mrs. Byers was born in Lincolnton, N.C., the daughter of the late Robert and Hattie Alexander Hinson. She was a homemaker. She attended UNC at Greensboro, N.C. She was a charter member of the Ocean Drive Yaupon Garden Club, a member of The Surf Golf Club and a member of Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church in North Myrtle Beach.
Surviving are her husband, Charlie W. Byers Jr. of North Myrtle Beach; and one son, Robert H. Byers of North Myrtle Beach.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Southeastern Memorial Gardens in North Myrtle Beach with Dr. Robert O. Kantner officiating the services.
