Jefferson City Post Tribune, May 21, 1984:

Mrs. Rose Catherine Stockman, 85, Lincoln Manor, died Sunday at Lincoln Manor. She was born on Nov. 9, 1898, at Wardsville, a daughter of Fred and Catherine Schnieders Markway. On May 10, 1922, she was married at Wardsville to Roy C. Stockman, who died on Dec. 28, 1971.

A homemaker, Mrs. Stockman was a member of the St. Stanislaus Chirch, Wardsville, and the Ladies Sodality of the church.

Survivors include: five sons, Willard Stockman, David Stockman and LeRoy Stockman, all of Jefferson Coty, Fred Stockman and Francis Stockman, both of Wardsville; three daughters , Ida Mertens, California, Catherine Mertens, Jefferson City, and Alice DeWesplote, Wardsville; one sister, Mrs. Mary Ann DeBroeck, Jefferson City; 39 grandchildren and 23 grest-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stanislaus Church, Wardsville, with the Rev. Brendan Doyle officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held after 2 p.m. Tuesday at yhe Dulle Funeral Home. Memorial contributions ate suggested to be made to the St. Stanislaus Building Fund, Wardsville.
