The deceased was born in Madison county, New York, June 11, 1824, and came from Alabama, Genesee county, New York, to settle in the town of Plymouth, Rock county, in 1844. He was married April 13, 1846, to Rachel Wheeler, who survives him. Edgar M. Bemis, of Tacoma, Wash., is one of the two children. A sister Mrs. Charlotte A.
