Miss Esther Gordon, 70, formerly of Galax, died in a Lynchburg Hospital Sunday, January 15, 1967.
She was born November 6, 1896, to William M and Nancy Reavis Gordon.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Thomas A Melton and Mrs. George Anderson, both of Galax, and two brothers, H E Gordon, Galax, and J C Gordon, Mooreland, IN.
Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, January 18th, in the chapel of Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home by the Rev Joe Shockley, pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist Church, Reavistown, and the Rev Robert L Irwin, pastor of Mt Vale Methodist Church.
Interment was in the Nuckolls Cemetery.
