Matilda and Ude were married May 29, 1894 in Sibley, Iowa at the home of Ude parents Peter and Gretje Davids.
Ude and Tillie started housekeeping in a little house 18 by 26 feet. The house was the first woodhouse built in Osceola County which stood where the City Park now stands in Sibley, Iowa.
