Mrs. Ralph F. Dragoo Dies Early Saturday
Had suffered heart attack -- Rites at Christian Church Monday Afternoon
Mrs. Margaret Edelle Dragoo, wife of Ralph F. Dragoo and formerly one of the best known young women of the Franklin community, died suddenly Saturday morning at her home in Indianapolis, following a heart attack. She had not been in good health for some time, but her condition had not been serious and the death at 2 o'clock came as a great shock to members of the family and to her many friends throughout the county.
Funeral services will be held from the Franklin Christian church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock and will be conducted by the Rev. Crafton, of the Garfield Baptist church at Indianapolis. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the residence, 1318 Finley Street, Indianapolis, at any hour before noon Monday, when the body will be brought here for the services.
Mrs. Dragoo was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John I. Walters, well known residents of the Jollity community, and was one of the most popular young women of that community. She attended the Franklin schools, graduating from the Alva Neal High School and was a student at Franklin College for one year before her marriage six years ago to Ralph F. Dragoo. Before her marriage, she was Youngs Creek correspondent for the Star and filled her duties with great satisfaction. She had resided in Indianapolis since her marriage.
Surviving with the husband is a daughter, Margaret Louise; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. John I. Walters, and five brothers, Wayne Walters and Roscoe F. Walters, both of Franklin; Rev. Guy T. Walters, of Bluffton; H. Max Walters, of Connersville; and Merle Walters, of Indianapolis.
