Shirley Blankenship Turley, age 74, of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, January 31, 2008, at her home. Mrs. Turley was born August 17, 1934, in Pine Bluff, a daughter of the late William Hunt and Lucy True Bussell Blankenship.
Mrs. Turley was reared and educated in Pine Bluff. She was a 1952 graduate of Pine Bluff High School.
She was a member of Good Faith Carr United Methodist Church. She had been employed by Universal CIT, Southern Federal, State Farm Insurance and the Jefferson County Treasurer's office.
She is survived by her husband, John H. Turley, whom she married April 12, 1957, in Pine Bluff; two daughters, Lyn Shoffstall (Terry) of Tallahassee, Florida and Lisa Price (Mark) of Pine Bluff; one brother, Bill Blankenship of Pine Bluff; four grandchildren, Katherine Price, Allison Price and Gretchen Price, all of Pine Bluff and Scott Shoffstall of Tallahassee, Florida and five step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend John Walls officiating. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends at Robinson's Monday evening from 5 to 7 PM.
