The last of 14 children born to the Rev. Charles H. & Jane (Gilmour) Wornom, Grace married George Watson on March 25, 1885 in Warren County, IL. They moved to Knox county where they farmed. Their four children were born there: Helen Gertrude on 6 Jan 1888, Lida Ellen in Oct 1891, George Raymond on 24 Sep 1895, and James Drain on 26 Oct 1898. After Gertrude's husband died in 1918, she and the boys tried to keep the farm going, but then decided to move to Marengo County, Alabama, where they bought and ran a dairy farm. Helen, unmarried, moved with them and moved back to Knox County, Illinois where she died 15 May 1966. George, sometimes called Raymond, died in DeKalb county, Georgia on 7 Feb 1973. James, sometimes called Jimmie, stayed in Alabama and died in Demopolis in Apr 1978.
