I have listed the brothers of the UNION ARMY
27th Missouri, Mounted Infantry,
George C and Barnabus JR
Today I searched and found that 5 of their brothers who stayed in North Carolina with their parents,
Soloman 3Rd SGT. captured at Richmond VA April 3,1865
Joseph RELEASED at Appomattox Court April 9 1865
Sanford DIED at Camp Rader, Virginia cause unknown
Alfred wounded/captured & POW at Point Lookout Maryland
Charles DIED pneumonia Raleigh N.C Gen Hosp
all joined out of Davidson County, North Carolina.

Barnabus joined the 27th MO. Mtd. Inf. in Warrensburg, MO on 4th of July 1861 for a 3 yr term-Pvt. in Co. A age:28
This being a week after his big brother George C. age:30 joined and they were in the same Co. A.
Barnabus was also among the 150 men captured at the first battle of Lexington, MO Sept. 20 1861 and a month later all paroled. In Oct-Dec 1861 the 27th Regiment was disbanded and most of the men joined other regiments.
George C. did not but Barnabus did join Co.D 5th Provisional Enrolled MO. Militia
