Ruby Gilbert Seehorn, age 91, of Lenoir passed away Friday, June 27, 2014 at her residence. She was born February 3, 1923 in Gaston County to the late David Lee Gilbert and Maude Absher Gilbert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore "Ted" R. Seehorn, one brother, Ralph Gilbert and one sister, Polly Stone.
Mrs. Seehorn was retired from Blue Ridge Electric as the Caldwell District Manager. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lenoir.
Survivors include one son, Thomas F. Seehorn, of Morganton and two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Lawson and husband Barry of Atlanta, Georgia and Mrs. Cindy Seehorn and husband Michael Huntley, of Lenoir. Also, she is survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 30, 2014 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be private.
