A funeral for Mary Rosaline Brown Underwood will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Finley Sunset Hills Mortuary. Burial will be in River View Cemetery. Mrs. Underwood died of causes related to age Sunday in her Southwest Portland home. She was 83.

She was born April 24, 1909, in Logan, Utah. She married Dr. Kenneth C. Brown on Feb. 19, 1939, and had lived in the Portland area since her marriage. Following his death in 1963, she married Dr. Franklin J. Underwood on Dec. 28, 1964.

Mrs. Underwood was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Oregon Medical Society auxiliary. Her husband died in 1988.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Brown Crawford of Salt Lake City and Marilyn Brown Bentley of Newport Beach, Calif.; stepsons, Philip D. and Lauren M., both of Portland; sister, Geneva Robinson of Las Vegas, Nev.; and 11 grandchildren.
