Webster Anderson was born to Tom Anderson, Sr. and Emily Howard Anderson on July 12, 1939 in Tensas Parish on Telonia Plantation in Waterproof, La.

He then relocated to New Orleans and united in holy matrimony with Lester Mae Reed and to this union two children were born. He then moved to the Central Louisiana area and later united in holy matrimony to Madeline Cooper. Brother Anderson accepted Christ in his mid 30s and was baptized by Rev. Berry of Greater New Zion Baptist Church. He became affiliated with several church families in his lifetime. On Feb. 1, 1987 he became an ordained deacon; on Jan. 31, 1988 he received his license to preach. After much dedication and studying he became an ordained minister on April 9, 1989. Elder Anderson pastored Woodland Baptist Church of Colfax for three years while remaining a faithful Bible Class teacher at Morning Star Baptist Church of Colfax under the leadership of Rev. Abraham Sykes. He also taught Bible class at Springfield Baptist Church in the Loamland Community of Waterproof and received a certificate of credit from the Christian Bible College of Louisiana under the leadership of Dr. A.P. Clay on June 12, 1987. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and chose farming in his later years as a sport and profession.
