Funeral services for the late James Moynahan, 78, of 203 Bell Street, who lied in hospital Wed- nesday, will be held from the parlors of McEvoy Bros., 235 Kent Street, (corner Nepean) Saturday at 8.15 a.m. to St. An- thony's Church for solemn requiem mass at 8.30 a.m. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery Mr. Moynahan was born in Port Huron, Michigan, the son of the late Thomas Moynahan and the late Mary Christopher. He came to Ottawa as a baby and has lived here ever since.
He was employed as a car inspector on the CNR and retired 14 years ago. Fifty-one years ago he married Mary Ellen Sauriol, who predeceased him in 1947.
Mr. Moynahan attended St. Anthony's Church. He belonged to the Catholic Order of Foresters, the Railway Carmen's Union and the Canadian National Veterans' Association.
Surviving are four sons, George of Windsor; Robert, Long Lac, Ont.; Cyril and Darwin, both of Ottawa; and six daughters, Mrs. Winnifred Brownrigg, Ottawa; Mrs. Evelyn Everly, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Beatrice Applebee, Ottawa; Mrs. Irene Wilson, Manotick; Mrs. Alice Guilbault, Ottawa, and Mrs. Gabriel Cadieux, London, Ont.
