Fulton G. Kloberdanz

Fulton G. Kloberdanz passed away at his home in Sterling, CO on June 5, 2014. Visitation will be from 1p.m. until 4p.m. on Sun., June 8, 2014 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Mon, June 9, at Zion Congregational Church, interment Riverside Cemetery, with Rev. Brian Witherspoon officiating.

Fulton was born in Sterling, CO on March 16, 1925 to Felix and Pauline Appelhanz Kloberdanz. He married Martha Julia Amen on June 16, 1944 in Sterling.

He is survived by his wife Julia Amen Kloberdanz; one son Duane Kloberdanz and wife Carolyn and one brother Frank Kloberdanz and wife Pat; three granddaughters Brenda, Barbara and Koda Kloberdanz and grandson Keineen and wife Susan; and three great grandchildren Wyatt, Coldy and Lola Kloberdanz.

Fulton was preceeded in death by his parents Felix and Pauline Kloberdanz: brothers Jake, Joe, George, Tom and Felix; sisters Mary Sewald, Mabel McCombs, Helen Amen and Pauline Lechman.

Fulton farmed in the Sterling area all his life, raising corn, alfalfa, sugar beets and feeding cattle. He received numerous awards for his sugar beet production from the Great Western Sugar Company. You could often hear Fulton brag that he had the tallest corn in the neighborhood by the 4th of July.

We will all miss him, his passing will be the end of a very large chapter in all of our lives.
