Mary Lou Mullis Clontz, 90 years of age, departed her earthly home for her promised place with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ after an extended period of declining health on Monday, June 2, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Clontz was born February 10, 1924 in Anson County to the late Sherwood Lendsey Mullis and Maggie Lela Davis Mullis. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Thomas Bridger Clontz, infant son, Billy Clontz, and brothers, Bruce, Brice, Kirby and Brady Mullis.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland from 6 until 9 pm . The Celebration of Life will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Midland chapel on Thursday, June 5th at 3 pm, officiated by Rev. Don Lisk and Rev. Russell McWhorter. Burial will follow at Wayside Baptist Church where she was a lifetime member.

Survivors include four sons; Larry(Ann) Clontz of Oakboro, Roger (Gillie) and Ronnie (Karen) Clontz of Monroe, and Gerald (Amy) Clontz of Midland, four daughters; Diane (Clontz) (Donald) McClain of Midland, Doris Jean (Clontz) (Ronnie) Little of Marshville, Vickie Lou (Clontz) (Larry) Eudy of Oakboro, and Nadine (Clontz) (Henry "Tuck") Tucker of Monroe, twenty grandchildren; thirty two great-grandchildren; and eleven great great-grandchildren; and one brother; Reece Mullis of Monroe.
