Harriet Josena Osborne born January 6, 1888, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 1979, at the Good Samaritan Center in Olathe after a long and tedious illness.
She was the daughter of Daniel Thomas Osborne and Rosa Ellen Rebstock being one of their six children, three of which preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hale became a member of the De Soto Methodist Church when the Prairie Center Church of which she was a member, was absorbed by the De Soto Church at the time the Sunflower Plant came to the area.
She was born near Bush City, Kansas, and came with her parents to a farm south of De Soto when eleven years old and has lived within a 30 min. radius of De Soto the remainder of her life.
She leaves her devoted daughter, Esther Ellis; a brother, Robert R. Osborne and a sister, Mrs. Agnes E. O'Brien, both of Olathe, one grandson and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Frye Chapel in Olathe and burial in De Soto.
