Helen was born March 10, 1950 in Vidalia Georgia to Odis and Eula Mae Yarbrough.

She was a graduate of the 1968 class of Jeff Davis High. Helen moved to Brunswick in 1971. She worked for First Federal Savings Bank as a Mortgage Loan Officer until her retirement in 2003. She then began a new career at Glynn County Federal Employees Credit Union at FLETC until she became ill.

Her favorite past time was camping with husband, family and friends. She also enjoyed shopping, gardening, reading, music and her animals. She enjoyed her sister in law, Marilyn Ellis that was with her until her passing. Helen had a wonderful sense of humor and never met a stranger. Everyone was her friend.

Helen was member of Akin Memorial United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant. She enjoyed going to her little country church to worship and to be with her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Odis Yarbrough.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 41 years, Les Beecher, her mother Eula Mae Yarbrough of Hazlehurst, her brother James and sister-in-law Dianne Yarbrough of Richmond Hill, niece Kathy Jones of Brunswick, several in laws; Maudine Pair (deceased) Marilyn Ellis of Valdosta, Pat (Chuck) Harwell of Griffin, Roy (Ava) Beecher of Hazlehurst; several loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The family of Helen would like to thank all her friends for the calls during her illness. Also, we appreciate the services of the employees at Summit Cancer Care, Dr. Ronald F. Goldberg, and staff of the 4th floor Oncology group at Candler Hospital of Savannah for all the outstanding care given to our loved one.
