Jennings: Funeral services for Jim Paul Person, 74 of Jennings, LA will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings, LA on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Brian Wells officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home on Monday, June 2, 2014 from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday at 8:00 AM until the time of his funeral service at 2:00 PM. Jim will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.
Jim Paul was born in Westlake, Louisiana on May 14, 1940 to the late Emile Melville Person and the late Mary Pearl McMullen Person and was called to his Heavenly Father on June 1, 2014. Jim was dedicated and loyal to his family and friends. Jim was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his beloved family, his four sons, Mark Person (Mary) of Jennings, LA, David LaCombe (Yvonne) of Willows, CA, Jeff Person (Carly) of Jennings, LA and Jon Person (Keisha) also of Jennings, LA; his daughter, Leisa LaCombe Hodges, of Dallas, TX; his three brothers, Rolley M Person of Jennings, LA, Noble Person (Genevieve) of Basile, LA and J.W. Person (Alice) of DeRidder, LA; his sister, Jo Ann Wood (Donald) of DeRidder, LA; Jim also leaves behind to cherish in his memories, thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Emile and Mary Person; his wife, Madeleine Person; his son, Joel Person and sister-in-law, Della Person.
