Barbara Jean Fisher, age 73, of Helena, passed away Jan. 17, 2006, at Big Sky Care Center. Barbara was born in Muskogee, Okla., to Grady and Alice Wilbourn. She attended high school at Portola, Calif., and college in Oklahoma. She received her nurses training in Helena, where she worked at Fort Harrison and Cooney Home. She married James Fisher who passed away in 1994.
Barbara enjoyed raising her children and being a caretaker. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim and daughter Teresa. She is survived by her sons: Jim (Donna) Fisher of Clancy; John (Joan) and Mike Fisher of Helena; Charlie (Lisa) Fisher, Grand Prairie, Alberta, Canada; and Steve (Kathy) Fisher, Montana City; daughters: Diane (Steve) Grand, Kent Wash.; Robin Fisher, Helena; Vicky Fisher Townsend; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
