Lost on a mission after departing Kweilin (Guilin), Guangxi, China for an intended sea patrol off the coast of Indo-China. Conflicting sources as to where the crash site was found.

All ten airmen aboard were killed:

Conroy, grandson of Anna Sclick. Funeral Thurs., 10/30, at 1:30 p.m. from chapel, 712 W. 31st st., to Doremus Congregational church. Interment Evergreen.
