She was born September 2, 1931, in McDonald, a daughter of Clayton and Sarah Brannan Smith.
Mrs. Dague was a 1949 graduate of Cecil High School and a 1952 graduate of the Washington Hospital School of Nursing.
She worked as a registered nurse for New Eagle Hospital, Washington Hospital and Washington County Health Center.
Mrs. Dague was an avid quilter and enjoyed gardening and reading.On September 20, 1952, she married Harry L. Dague Jr., who died September 24, 1995.
Surviving are a daughter, Saralyn Dague of Houston; two grandsons, Bryan S. Dague of Washington and Alan M. Dague of Cleveland, Ohio; a great-granddaughter, Bridgette Ireland Dague; a daughter-in-law, Christina Dague Rubaker of Canonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Lawrence Dague; and a brother, Clayton Smith.Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 16, with the Rev. Gary Gibson officiating.
Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Washington Hospital School of Nursing, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, or Chartiers-Houston Community Library, 730 West Grant Street, Houston, PA, 15342.
