She was born in Canastota and graduated from Canastota High School in 1972. She received an Associates degree from SUNY Morrisville, a Bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University, and a Master's degree from Oswego State University. She was a Special Education teacher at Altmar- Parish-Williamstown High School for 24 years before becoming ill in 2000. Diane was a skilled weaver and artisan. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, gardening, homemaking, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by: her husband of 20 years, Gary A. Chrisman; a daughter, Ashleigh M. Chrisman; a son, Scott H. Chrisman, all of Pulaski. Also surviving are: two brothers, Lee (Monika) Wilkinson and Scott (Therese) Wilkinson, both of Canastota; two sisters, Priscilla (Bill) Grisenthwaite of Vernon, Jill (David) Rossi of Chittenango; her mother Betty White of Canastota; and several nieces and nephews. Diane was predeceased by her sister Linda Sellwood who died in 1984 and her father Marlin Wilkinson who died in 1992.
Calling hours will be held 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski. A private funeral service will be held with burial at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oswego County Hospice, P. O. Box 102, Oswego, NY 13126 or to Ashleigh & Scott Chrisman Children's Fund, P.O. Box 192, Pulaski, NY 13142.
