Michael R. Coates, 41, Pulaski, died Thursday at Oswego Hospital after suffering a heart attack.

He was employed by Pulaski Ford as a sales and service manager for 10 years. He also was employed by International Wire and Camden Wire for a time.

Born Dec. 30, 1964, in Oneida, son of Morris and Margaret Campbell Coates, he graduated from Camden High School in 1983.

He married Shelly Cleveland on June 29, 1991.

He was a member of the Williamstown Fire Department.

Surviving besides his wife are a daughter and son-in-law, Lindsey and Stephen Brooks, Elkton, Md.; three sons, Jason M., Nashville, Tenn., and Michael M. and Mason L., both of Pulaski; a brother, Budd, Emmaus, Pa.; two sisters, Patsy Johnson and Kathleen Gardner, both of Camden; a stepsister, Cathy Artuso, Florida, and a stepbrother, Kevin Hamner, Camden.

A brother, Richard M., died in 2005.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Park United Methodist Church with the Rev. Brian Homan and the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home.
