Funeral services for Guy A. Groman, 77, of Bettendorf will be 10:30 am on Thursday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Burial will follow at Greenview Cemetery, Silvis. Family will greet friends on Thursday from 9:30 am to service time at the Mortuary.

Guy passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Guy Arno Groman was born on January 12, 1937 in Davenport, the son of Arnold and Josephine (Mokszycki) Groman. He married Katherine E. Laws in 1974. She preceded him in death on July 14, 2004. He was owner of Guy's Barber Shop, Davenport, for many years, retiring from there in 1974. He then worked as a meter tech for the City of Davenport for 25 years. Guy had served in the U.S. Navy.

He enjoyed Ballroom dancing, watching sprint car racing, and fishing.

Survivors include his son, Mark (Theresa) Groman of Orion, IL, a granddaughter, Taylie Groman of Orion, Il, and special friend, Blanche Jacobs of Moline, Il.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and brother, Roy. Memorials may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf or Good Samaritan Care Center, Davenport.
