R. S. Humber, 82
R. S. "Sid" Humber, 82, of Rocker, died Friday in a Butte hospital.
Mr. Humber was born in Victoria, British Columbia, Dec. 21, 1889, and was married to Josephine Karlstad in Kent, Wash., in 1912. The couple was married 55 year when Mrs. Humber died in 1967. In 1923 the couple moved to Butte where Mr. Humber worked as a bricklayer and a operating engineer at the Rocker mill.
He was a member of the Rocker Volunteer Fire Department and the Stationary engineers union.
Survivors include daughters, Mrs. George Keogh and Mrs. John Brookbush both of Butte.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 at Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Smatla officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
