GEORGE KLUNK DIES TUESDAY
Passes Away At Home Of Daughter In Centennial.
George G. Klunk died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Gebhart, Centennial, Tuesday evening ay 6 o'clock. Death was due to the complication of diseases after a prolonged illness. Mr. Klunk had been taken to the West Side sanitarium, West York, for treatment some time ago, but was unable to receive relief for his ailment and was taken to his home again. He was aged 72 years seven months and nine days. His parents were the late Joseph and Catherine Klunk. He was married on November 20, 1877. to Miss Susan Pahlman, who preceded him in death fifteen years ago. Mr. Klunk had been a resident of Centennial since the time of his marriage. Surviving are two sons, Joseph Klunk, Edge Grove, and William Klunk, Lititz, Lancaster county; two daughters, Mrs. William Gebhart, Centennial, and Mrs. Arthur Noel, New Oxford; two brothers, Joseph Klunk and John Klunk, McSherrystown; four sisters, Mother Antoinette, Cheltenham, PA; Mrs. V. H. Lilly, McSherrystown; Mrs. Frank Brenner, Hanover; Mrs. Augustus Eckenrode, Emmitsburg, Md., and 29 grandchildren. Funeral on Friday morning at 9 o'clock with a requiem high mass in Conewago Chapel, the pastor. the Rev. Charles Koch. officiating. Burial in Conewago cemetery.
