Lois B. Wilkinson, age 92, of Jacksonville went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 20, 2014. She was born June 18, 1921 in Tyler, Texas to the late Alvin and Bertha Berry. Mrs. Wilkinson was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville for over 50 years, a longtime volunteer with the Rebsamen Medical Center Auxiliary, and an avid quilter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Douglas Wilkinson, one son Alvin Wilkinson, and one daughter Betty Phillips.
She is survived by her children; Michael and his wife, Donna Wilkinson, Pamela and her husband, Rick Pruett, and Penny and her husband, Mike Dietz, all of Jacksonville, grandchildren, Pamela and her husband, Franklin Wilson, Neil Phillips, Jason and his wife, Liani Wilkinson, Joshua and his wife, Lindsey Wilkinson, Steven and his wife, Jaclyn Pruett, Sarah and her husband, Mike Cantrell, Lindsey Dietz Jones and her husband Kenny, and Leslie and her husband, Jerrod Watkins, eleven great-grandchildren, one sister, Nona Cowan of West Monroe, Louisiana, and one brother Carl Berry of Atlanta, Georgia.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014 with a visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville with Rev. Ron Raines officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
