George Wilkin, who had been suffering with throat consumption, caused, it is said, by using too much
tobacco, died at his home in Wallkill Jan. 7th.
He leaves a wife and four children."

George T. Wilkin, whose death was previously mentined [s.i.c.] in the Times-Press, was a son of the late William Wilkin and Mary E. VanKeuren, and was born at Montgomery, in 1850. In 1852, with his parents, he moved to the Wilkin homestead farm, in the town of Wallkill, near Winterton, where he resided at the time of his death.
He married Myrtle Nichols, who survives him with four sons, George, at home: Chester N., Charles and William, of New York city, and one grandson, Chester, Jr., of New York. Also one brother, William M., of Middletown; and three sisters, Mrs. Frances Thompson, of Middletown; Mrs. Alva Seybolt, of Oneonta; and Mrs. George W. Comfort, of Bloomingburg.
Mr. Wilkin was a successful farmer, and a kind husband and father; neighbor and friend. Interment in the Bloomingburg cemetery."
