Elisabeth Isabel Bédard, daughter of Jean Baptiste Bédard and Charlotte Labrecque, was born and baptized on 16 Oct 1843 at Sainte Claire, Dorchester, Québec, Canada. She married Paul Ruel, son of Édouard Ruel and Adélaide Olivier Lejeune, on 26 Feb 1862 at Sainte Claire. Isabel immigrated with her family to the United States about 1876, eventually settling in Winthrop, Kennebec, Maine. Her youngest child Archie was born in 1884. Isabel's headstone indicates that she died in 1886. She was interred in Maple Cemetery in Winthrop. Her widowed husband remarried.
