COOKEVILLE –Funeral services for Effie May Hawkins, 84, of Route 14, Cookeville, will be conducted Wednesday, July 16, at 2:30 p.m. at the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with Bro. Carlos Walker and Bro. Carl Hess officiating. Burial will be in Dodson Branch Cemetery in Jackson County.
Miss Hawkins died July 14 at Cookeville General Hospital.
Born June 7, 1896, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Van Dorn and Sirema Gentry Hawkins.
She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
