Mrs. Carrie Naker, widow of Joseph M. Naker, died at her home, 49 North Alfred avenue, Elgin, at 11 o'clock last night following a brief illness of pneumonia. She was born in Genoa, Ill., September 25, 1879, a daughter of the late Ettie and Peter A. Anderson, and had resided in this city for several years.
She is survived by two children, Harry Naker of Rockford, Ill., and Mrs. Leon Smith of Elgin; a sister, Mrs. Laura Brewer of Franklin Park; two brothers, Charles Anderson of Burlington, and Harry Anderson of Elgin. Her husband predeceased her in death 16 years ago.
Funeral services will be held from the home Thursday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock and from the First M. E. church in Genoa at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Genoa cemetery.
