Born to them were Walter Winfield Hendrix, Cora Maybelle "Mae" (Hendrix) Enloe, Henry Hendrix, Geashie Ellen (Hendrix) Gilmore, Carver, Adair. All born in the area of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. She then married J. H. Green May 1, 1902 in Chickasaw Nation Indian Territory, Tyrola, Ok. Born to them was Linnie B. Green June 21, 1904 in Oklahoma. She then married George Vanwhy May 20, 1911 Tulsa, OK. to them were born Bertha May(Vanwhy)Griffin Dukelow, Earl Franklin & Marie Jency all born at Verdigris, Oklahoma.

Funeral services for Amanda Elizabeth Van Why, 77, were held Nov. 8 in the Mumaw Chapel with interment following in Lancaster Cemetery, the Rev. Goodell of the Four Square Church officiating.

Death came to the Lancaster Heights housewife in her home on Nov. 4, folllowing a lingering illness.

Married in Tulsa Okla. in 1911, she is survived by her husband, G. L. Vanwhy of Lancaster Heights; two sons, W. W. Hendrix, Rosamond; and Earl F. Vanwhy, Fillmore, Cal., three daughters, Mae Enloe, Oklahoma City; Lillian Dodson, Springfield, MO., and Bertha Griffin, Burbank and by 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
