Warnie V. Alexander, 87 of Piqua died at 11:35 a.m. Sunday August 14, 2016 at the Ohio Hospice Inpatient Unit of the Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born September 29, 1928 in Kline, West Virginia to the late George W. and Ola (Hinkle) Alexander. He married Miriam Todd November 1948, who preceded him in death December 18, 1984, he then married Norma M. Sturwold July 10, 1985, she preceded him in death October 29, 2008. He then married Regina Lee Hildebrand April 3, 2009, and she survives.

Other survivors include three daughters, Lynn (John) Prater of North Port, Florida, Sharon (David) Curtis of Hartselle, Alabama, Marcia (Keith) Kirk of North Port, Florida; three grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters.

Mr. Alexander retired in 1991 as a Mechanic for the Val Decker Meat Processing Company following many years of dedicated service. He loved being a pilot having flown for over thirty-three years mostly in twin engine planes. He enjoyed traveling having visited all fifty States. He was a member of St. Paul Evangelical & Reformed Church.

A service to honor his life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday August 18, 2016 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Keith Gebhart officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Hospice, P. O. Box 502, Troy, OH 45356.
