Per her death certificate found on Ancestry.com: she was a daughter of James D. Addy and Catherine Derrick, both born in Lexington Co., S. C. She was a widow at the time of her death and her spouse is not named. She died at home of cardiovascular renal disease. The informant was Vernon R. Porter of West Columbia, S. C.

Found in The State 10 October 1942: Mrs. Georgia Camilla Porter of Witt street, West Columbia, died at her home at 10:50 yesterday morning after an illness of several weeks. She was born December 29, 1876 in Lexington county, and had lived in West Columbia since 1917. Mrs. Porter was a member of Mount Tabor Lutheran church, at which funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Sunday. The Rev. J. B. Cassell and Chaplain J. W. Oxner of Fort Jackson will conduct the rites and interment will be in Elmwood cemetery. Surviving are a son, Vernon R. Porter of West Columbia, a daughter, Mrs. F. H. Lucas, Jr., of Hartsville; two sisters, Mrs. Lula Ricard of Lake Murray and Mrs. Mattie Caughman of near Leesville; two brothers, Rufus Addy of Cayce and J. E. Addy of West Columbia; and a granddaughter, Sandra Jean Lucas of Hartsville.
