Preston Charles Reedy, Jr., 64, husband of Sue Anne Reedy, of Beaufort, SC, died Thursday, April 3, 2014 in Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 11:00am in Beaufort National Cemetery with military honors.
Mr. Reedy was born on December 15, 1949 in Pottsville, PA. He is the son of the late Preston C. Reedy, Sr. and Margaret Collins Reedy.
He was retired from the U S Postal Service and was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed gathering his own oysters, and inviting his "Men's Group" over for a roast. He also enjoyed the Beaufort Waterways, and the sandbar. He was a life time member of AmVets and a die hard S. C. Gamecock fan. He served our country in the U S Army during Vietnam.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Sue Anne of Beaufort, SC; are one son, Charles Preston Reedy of Monroe, NC and two step daughters Ashly Farrior and Paige Hill(Ron); one step son, Todd Farrior(Brittany) all of Charleston, SC; two sisters, Patricia A. McCracken and Rose D. Reedy both of Beaufort, SC; two grandchildren, Logan and Landon Hill; one niece, Mandy Paulsen and one nephew, Shannon McCracken both of Beaufort, SC.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to The Tabby House, 2127 Boundary Street, #13, Beaufort, SC 29902 or American Heart Association, 409 King Street, Suite 300, Charleston, SC 29403
