Audrey Brice, 85, of Hawarden died Sunday, January 2, at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Hawarden.

Services were at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday at Community Reformed Church in Hawarden with the Rev. David Tellinghuisen officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Brice was born May 28, 1914, in Union County in South Dakota, the daughter of Marvin S. and Elsie Mae (Garkie) Waterman. She attended Edward School in Union County and Calliope School in Hawarden. She was employed with Maytag in Newton and later as a chambermaid at Ellis Hotel in Waterloo. She married Harold Brice. The couple made their home in Boise, Idaho. She returned to Hawarden where she was employed with Tom's Cafe and later did yard work with Gailon Waterman.

She enjoyed music, playing the piano and guitar and gardening.

Survivors include a daughter, Phyliss Kelseth of Boise; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Naomi Schwiesow of Hawarden; a brother, Curt Waterman of Waterloo; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter; three sisters, Frances, Opal and Wanda; and five brothers, Leland, Merlyn, Wayne, Nolan and Raymond.
