Anna Catherine (Brown) Jacobs, 89, Gorham, died Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Russell Regional Hospital, Russell, Kan. She was born Nov. 2,1924, in Victoria, Kan., to Nicholas and Marianna (Dreiling) Brown.


She married Robert G. Jacobs Sept. 16,1946, at Gorham, Kan. He died Oct. 29, 2004.


She was a homemaker and attended school at Rock Ridge north of Gorham. She worked at the Gorham Train Depot during WW II. Her life wa spent taking care of her family and enjoying her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Charles Circle Daughters of Isabella both of Gorham.


Survivors include two sons, Tim Jacobs and wife, Karla, Parachute, Colo., and Leon Jacobs and wife, Debbie, Ellsworth, Kan.; four daughters, Judy Corley, Gorham, Marie Hartwick, Ellsworth, Theresa Garnhart and husband, Kevin, Elbert, Colo.; Jerri Wulff and husband, Mike, Clinton, Mn.; one sister, Laverna Schulte, Hill City, Kan.; one brother-in-law, Berno Jacobs, Gorham; three sisters-in-law, Bertha Brown, Walker, Kan., Arlene Brown, WaKeeney, Kan., and Genevieve Jacobs, Russell; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter-in-law, Marsha Jacobs; a son-in-law, Rocky Corley; six brothers, Celestine Brown, Ed Brown, John Brown, Tony Brown, Rich Brown, William Brown; three sisters, Catherine Riedel, Mary Brungardt, Clara Hollandsworth; and one grandson, Wyatt Halde.


Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2014, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Gorham. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Gorham.
