COATES, Edna (Zoller) Nelson, Born April 11, 1918, in Goodrich, N.D. Passed away December 10, 2005, in Lancaster, Calif. She is survived by her children, Allen (Sandy) Nelson, Terry (Louie) King, step-daughter, Audrey Garcia, brother Willie (Dorothea) Zoller, grandchildren, Doug, Phil, and Steve Nelson, Jeannie McMahan, Scott King and 9 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Coates was preceded in death by husbands, Gordon Nelson and Mert Coates and several brothers and sisters. Edna and Gordon moved to Mojave from West Los Angeles, then moved to Palmdale shortly thereafter. Edna's family was a charter member of the First Lutheran Church of Palmdale. Edna was a longtime member and Past President of the Palmdale Woman's Club. Edna retired from Rockwell International. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m., both on Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, at the First Lutheran Church of Palmdale with the Reverend Wayne Anderson officiating. Interment to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Palmdale. Email condolances to the family at [email protected] . Donations may be made in Mrs. Coates' name to the First Lutheran Church Palmdale.
