Elizabeth Wetmore "Betty" Sale (1924 - 2009), 85, of Wellsboro, died on 23 Oct 2009. She married Hugh W. Dale (1904 - 1989) on 20 Dec 1941 at Presbyterian Chapel in Bath, NY. Mrs. Dale was a very active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and a very accomplished musician. She played the organ at the Penn Wells Hotel, loved doing handcrafts, traveling and flower gardens. She was a frequent contributor of articles to teaching publications. Mrs. Dale is survived by a son, Associate Professor Richard E. "Rick" Dale of Belgrade Lakes ME; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Myrna Wetmore of Groton VT.; grandson, Jason D. Dale. She was predeceased by a son, musician James Arthur Dale (1947 - 1996).
