SHREVEPORT, LA- Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie C. Batchelor, 89 of Shreveport, LA will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 in the chapel at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
Nellie was born July 22, 1916 in Sailes, LA to the late Gus and Clemmie Cole. She passed away in Shreveport, LA on Saturday, October 15, 2005. Nellie was a member of Morningside Methodist Church where she was very active in the choir and UMW.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years Leonard Noland Batchelor. She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Sanders of Shreveport, LA; son, Robert Batchelor and wife Sherry of Shreveport, LA; sisters, Mildred Lyons of Arcadia, LA, Era Peters of Brookhaven, MS, Alice Lewellin and husband Lew of Sugarland, TX and Dorothy Baker and husband Lewis of Benton, LA. Nellie is also survived by her grandchildren Everett Jack Davis, Jr. and wife Debra, Tonya Jo Davis, and Kristen Batchelor Walker and husband Glenn, and 4 great grandchildren.
