WALTERS, Mary Jane, 92 of Palmdale passed peacefully at her home on the morning of December 4, 2005, following a brief illness. She was a loving wife and devoted mother. Her husband of 31 years, Floyd Walters, her sons, Harry, Ronald, Donald and Robert Jodice as well as her step-son Floyd Jr. and step-daughter Evelyn survives her. She was the proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A resident of Palmdale for over 46 years, Mary was employed by the Palmdale School District for 20 years. Following retirement she dedicated 15 years and over 20,000 hours as a volunteer for Palmdale General Hospital where she received the volunteer of the year award in 1989. She was dearly loved by her husband, her sons, and her extended family and will be missed by her many friends. Her beloved "Chemo Cat" will also miss her. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m., on Thursday, December 8, 2005. Services will follow at 11 a.m., on Friday, December 9, 2005, both at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary.
