Joan A. Hyatt

Swannanoa - Joan A. Hyatt, 74, of Swannanoa, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014. Mrs. Hyatt was born February 20, 1940, to the late Joseph Burgin and Josephine Lucille Gilliam Allison. Joan was a school teacher for 28 years at Black Mountain Primary School. She then became the activity director at the McCune Center and after retirement she volunteered there. Joan was a member of Black Mountain United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father, Raynous Wilson.
