Bridget Mulligan (c1825-?) Norton was a housewife. (b. circa 1825, County Galway, Ireland - d. unknown, County Galway, Ireland)

Marriage:
She married Michael Norton around 1850.

Children:
At least three of her children that emigrated to the United States are known: Patrick J. Norton (1856-1905) who married Sarah Jane Carr (1863-1950) and died of septicemia; Matthew Norton (c1860-?) who is only known through witnessing Pat's marriage and being the godfather to Thomas Patrick Norton I; and John Norton (1861-1905) who never married, and died of tuberculosis.

Relationship:
Bridget Mulligan was the second great-grandmother of Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ).

Death:
There is a Bridget Norton who died in 1865 in Roscommon. There is a Michael Norton who died in Jan-Feb-Mar 1902 in Roscommon. That would have her dying three years after her last know child. This may be our couple. Ordering their death certificates may not give enough information to confirm it.

Research:
Researched and written by Richard Arthur Norton (1958) for Findagrave starting on December 3, 2005. Updated on Saint Patrick's Day Monday, March 17, 2104 with possible death dates from the Ireland Civil Registration Death Index, 1864-1958.
