Virginia Rorrer, age 79, of Glen Daniel, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord, thursday, december 23, 2010 at the Hilltop Nursing Center, Oak Hill, W.Va., after a long illness. She was born July 22, 1931 at Hillsville, Va., a daughter of the late Lonnie and Violet Marshall Bowman. Mrs. Rorrer was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Robert Rorrer.
She is survived by two sons, Roger Rorrer of Glen Daniel, and Bobby Rorrer of Cleveland, Ohio; four sisters, Marie Webb of Beckley, Thelma Burgess of Meadow Bridge, W.Va., Thelma Jean Harless of Jeffersonville, Ind., and Shirley Acord of Lester, W.Va.; by a brother, Johnny Bowman of Glen Daniel; by four grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2010, at the Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville with the Rev. Donnie Russell officiating. Burial will be in the Rorrer Cemetery at Glen Daniel.
