Son of Louis Richter and Mary Yocum. Gus married Viola Chaplin in 1913 in Wetzel Co., WV. He worked as a mortician at the Wharton & Ellis Funeral Home in New Martinsville WV. Gus was also the Clerk of Wetzel County WV for a number of years.
