Services for Richard Marvin Martin, 71, of Post will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at the Graham Chapel Methodist Church with Pastor John Hedrick officiating. Burial in Terrace Cemetery will be under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home. He died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, in Lubbock. He was born on March 29, 1942, in Floresville to Marvin and Lena (Gilley) Martin. He married Hazel Thorp on June 3, 1971, in Lamesa. He was a heavy equipment operator. He served in the US Army during Vietnam. Survivors include his wife: Hazel Martin of Post, two daughters: Mirrie Jo Martin of New Deal and Angela Davis of Post; one sister: Gaye Lambert of Floresville; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; and a special nephew: Ray Lambert of Floresville. He was preceded in death by one daughter: Amanda King; and one granddaughter, Michelle Martin-Macom, in 2002.
