Royal Australian Air Force 27 Operational Training RAF

Vickers Wellington X9706 aircraft of 27 Operational Training Unit (RAF Lichfield) crashed on its approach at Kings Bromley; all seven of the aircrew lost their lives.

RAAF Flight Sergeant Jack Stephen Richards WOOLNOUGH,

RAAF Sergeant Frederick Ernest WILLIAMS,

RAAF Sergeant Evan Frederick WEBB , 402767 Age 26.

RAF Sergeant Malcolm Hunter WELCH and

RAFVR Sergeant Wilfred Roy BEETON.


A trustee officer by trade, he was the son of Stanley Herbert and Winifred Mary Webb; husband of Ruth Doris Webb of East Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
