Long Illness Fatal
To J.W.Tompkins

PENNINGTON -- Jonathan W. Tompkins, active in civic and church affairs, died today at his home, 312 Burd Street, here, following a long illness.
He was a member of the official board of St. Paul's M. E. Church of Trenton, Lodge No.3, I.O.O.F., and of the Gideons.
He is survived by his wife, Flora H. Tompkins; six daughters, Miss Leah Tompkins of Newberry, Pa.;Mrs. Harry M. Taylor of Villafranche, France; Mrs. Mortimer S. Pine, Jr., of Trenton; Mrs. Hugh H. Gillingham of Pennington; Mrs. William P. Howe, of Pennington, and Mrs. Wilford L. Holcombe, of Trenton; two sons, Jonathan Wesley, Jr., of Harrisburg and John A. Tompkins of Pennington and seven grandchildren.
