Born Nov. 25, 1924 in Oakland he was a son of the late Osborn S. and Ina (Paugh) Beckman. Mr. Beckman was a retired auto body technician; a U.S. Army veteran of World War II; and a member of VFW Post 10077.
Surviving are his wife, Eleanor (Lipscomb) Beckman; one sister, Rose Ina Harsh, Eglon, W.Va.; and one granddaughter.
Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland. Services were conducted at the funeral home, Nov. 4, with the Rev. Harold Harman and the Rev. Samuel Moon officiating.
Interment with military honors accorded by members of Garrett County veterans organizations was at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
